Just north of Brighton, Michigan on the northbound lanes of US 23, there's a vista on the right, depicting a stream winding through a field and woodlands. The 9x12 pastel painting below is an interpretation of that view.
I originally painted this scene about 14 years ago, and sold the painting at the Ann Arbor Art Fair. As Michigan has been hit with so many rainy days, I decided to call up some old photos of scenes like this, to create new works of my past interpretations of the landscape.
