Pastel Painting: Under the Pines at Lake Quinault

Traveling through Olympic National Forest, I came upon this spot on Lake Quinault. Pastel painting, 9x12, done on Uart 320 grade paper.
The painting has a complementary color underpainting of watercolor and acrylic. It's fun trying out some of those seldom-used pink and purple pastels!
