I am pleased to announce that my painting "Ski Tracks" has been accepted at the Sixth Biennial National Juried Open Exhibition, Pastels Chicago.
Ski Tracks was inspired by the dearth of cross-country skiing opportunities in Southeast Michigan last winter! On the day that I took the reference photo, heavy snow draped the trails at Rolling Hills Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan as the sun brought out the warmth of the frigid colors. That day was the peak of the winter ski season in this part of the state.
Perhaps Ski Tracks' selection into the Chicago show is a good omen for this upcoming winter's skiing opportunities!
